Team Heat Financial Literacy
Budgeting classes and matching funds to help pay heating expenses assists clients in becoming current in their utility bills and remaining safe during the cold winter months. Classes are offered Wednesdays from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at 1st United Methodist Church (333 N. Main, South Bend).
Emotional Intelligence/Crafting Your Best Self
Build skills and understanding to increase self-motivation, self-awareness, self-control, and empathy. Learn about the differences between verbal & non-verbal communication, optimistic & pessimistic thinking, and passive & assertive behaviors. Classes are offered Thursdays at 1st United Methodist Church (333 N. Main, South Bend) from 4:30pm to 6:30pm beginning October 12 and ending December 14, 2017.
Healthcare, Ready for Work and Family Development
Eligible clients are provided one-on-one assistance from a qualified healthcare navigator. The navigator assists clients in completing health insurance applications, as well as other agency applications including benefits such as food stamps, TANF and social security. Bridges Out of Poverty
Learn the principles of sound financial management through Bridge’s Finance As A Second Language classes. In Bridge’s Getting Ahead program participants gain a better understanding of the conditions that drive poverty and acquire the essential tools to gain self-sufficiency.
